Go Cubs Go ! FLY THE W!

It might actually be  Chicago’s time, this is the second season the cubs have been on fire.

It was this time last year that the cubs made it this far and created all kinds of hysteria around the team. Bring on the bandwagons & bring on the loyal fans!

They’re the number one seed in National League, they clinched early in the season with 103 wins and 58 loses, and they just beat out San Francisco with a 3-1 lead. This is it! If that doesn’t get you pumped and make you believe the cubs really are going all the way then you need to go take a nap.kris-bryant-watches-it-fly

I have been saying this for awhile now, but it really is the year of the rookies.

Rookies are taking over everywhere you look in just about every sport. The Chicago cubs are a newly constructed team made up of newer and younger players. Last year it was Kris Bryant, Addison Russell and Kyle Schwarber, this year is Javier Baez, Wilson Contreras, Albert Almora Jr and Carl Edwards Jr.

Chicago Cubs Manager Joe Madden has realized that these young guys can play and he’s putting them out there on that field, these guys are playing their hearts out and giving it all they got.

In the wildcard series alone these newbies made their presence known. Contreras, Baez, and Almora have all had their “big moments” during this series. Contreras in Game 4 with a game tying hit, a game saving catch by Almora in Game 3. Baez with a Game 1 sealing homer, to the unbelievable ninth-inning rally in Chicago’s NLDS-clinching Game 4 Victory!usatsi_9309311_168382903_lowres

However, the Cubs cannot get distracted. It is officially go time, they have not let up all season and they played with heart this season. Now, coming into the NLCS they need to start playing with not only heart, but with their brains.

Maddon needs to sit back and really think his plays through, he needs to play it smart. You can’t have any mishaps like they did during the 8th inning of game 3. He needs to place his players carefully, make sure everyone is 100% taken care of and healthy.

Maddon is a smart coach and he is known for being random with his placements. Sometimes it works out in their favor and there are a few times where it hasn’t exactly panned out that way.joe-maddon-mlb-nlds-chicago-cubs-st-louis-cardinals

People have talked trash for years about how the Cubs aren’t going to make it,  But the Cubs don’t seem to be playing around this season! CHICAGO IS HERE! Don’t call it a comeback they’ve been here for years. They’re just finally showing the world that they got this.

They’re cubs and they hibernate. but when they finally awake they’ll take the world by storm. In this case it’s the baseball world by storm.

With that being said, Tune in October 15th to the Cubs take over of  The Los Angeles Dodgers at 8pm at Wrigley Field in Chicago, Ill in Game 1 of the NLCS!

Until next time folks, GO CUBS GO!
